When I Grow Up...
The above cartoon was one of the first to influence me regarding inflation. The notion of the frog expanding itself, boasting, and WANTING to grow bigger than the world enthralled me from the beginning. I fantasized about being the frog for years to come.
So, here are my thoughts on the two main elements that constitute good voluntary expansion...
Desire
The idea of not only expanding but wanting AND being able to expand simply at will is one of the key elements of voluntary expansion. But, if you can expand then why aim small? The urge to outgrow rooms, buildings, or other obstacles adds a vital element to the scenario.
Boasting/Ego
Equally as important as the urge to grow is bragging and boasting about how large you're going to grow, how you can't pop, or even how you plan on popping.
Extras
Other elements add to the effect such as self-awe over one's size/pressure/weight/etc., trying to burst clothing or other obstacles to growth, etc.
